There is nothing as painful in this world as losing a parent or a loved one. Tanzanian gospel artist Bahati Bukuku sadly lost her dear mother on January 12th in Mbeya, after she succumbed to complications arising from high blood pressure.

Bahati revealed that her mother was her stronghold and best friend, and losing her was like a part of her was gone.

The heavy-voiced singer could not hold back her tears and pain during Enea's moving send-off held at Mlima James Cemetery in her hometown, over the weekend.

The burial was attended by her fellow gospel artists and friends to support and console the singer during this trying time.

One of the mourners talked to reporters and expressed how the gospel star was going through a heart-wrenching time;

The pain of losing a mother is severe. Bahati has found herself struggling to remain strong through the heartbreaking period. I sympathize with her. However, I believe God will strengthen her

Bahati Bukuku managed to speak to the media at the funeral and had this to say:

We have laid mum to rest. Am coping well, God is good.

May her soul rest in peace.
