Tanzanian musician Darassa has left his fans in shock after publicly admitting that he once sought the services of a witchdoctor.

The singer who is currently topping charts with the song dubbed "Muziki" featuring Ben Pol did not visit the 'mganga' to attain musical success. Quite the contrary.

During a recent interview with a Tanzanian based radio station, Darassa, whose real name is Shariff Thabeet, revealed that he did so because of personal problems.

However, he later changed his mind because the mganga made very outrageous demands, asking him to do things he was not comfortable with.
