Every time Bungoma is mentioned there must have been a bizarre happening and by the look of things this trend won't end any time soon.

The county is on the headlines yet again after sounds of a crowing cock were heard from the stomach of a man believed to have stolen from his neighbor.

Mike Wanjala allegedly stole eight chicken two weeks before he developed stomach complications.

The neighbor is said to have sought the services of a popular witchdoctor identified as Mama Noor who told him to wait for three days to see what would happen.

"I visited Mama Noor and she told me not to give her any money. She promised to help me catch the thief and told me to go home and wait for three days," he said.

After the duration he was given elapsed, he realized that it was his neighbor's son who had stolen from him after they approached him for help.

Wanjala's family had to give the witchdoctor a huge sum of money so as to save his life.

Joshua Kuloba - the suspect's father  describes his son a thief who would steal things even from their home.

"He started this bad habit while staying in my house. He stole eggs, my money and it was only until recently that he was finally caught," he said.

After relieving him of his pain, Mama Noor warned area residents against stealing from the homestead which she says is now protected.
