Luwere! Kenyans mourn 14 students killed in Kakamega stampede (Photos)

The Kakamega Primary school stampede has left the entire nation in shock. The incident happened barely two days after 20 people died and several injured during a stampede at a church in Tanzania while rushing to receive anointing oil.

14 students were killed on Monday evening during the stampede after a bell rang to signify the end of lessons.

39 others were injured and were rushed to the Kakamega County Referral Hospital.

13 died st the scene o the accident due to suffocation while one succumbed to injuries at the county's hospital. Nine of them were guys.

Reports indicate that there was a teacher who was behind the students following them to punish them leading to the stampede on the narrow staircase of the three-storey building.

Kenyans have condoled with the families of the belated souls and here are there messages.
