Now, she has teamed up with Danai Gurira - a Hollywood actress from Zimbabwe - for the next big project, which happens to be a Broadway production. Danai is known for her iconic role as Michonne in The Walking Dead series.

Eclipse is directed by Lupita and tells a story about the critical, decisive roles that women played during the second Liberian civil war. The play's perspective argues that the women may have been politically powerless but they truly influenced various aspects of the war; they were wives of activists and war lords.
