Yesterday nominated MCA Ann Thumbi, who has a child with late Kibra MP Ken Okoth spent her afternoon with McDonald Mariga at the IEBC offices, where he appeared to be cleared for the Kibra by-election.
But Mariga was denied the chance to vie for the Kibra parliamentary seat. According to IEBC Returning Officer Beatrice Muli his name does not appear in the voter register and he cannot, therefore, contest in the November elections.
He was given seven days to appeal.
In the exclusive Mpasho photos, Anne Thumbi is seated next to Mariga, showing support to the Jubilee candidate.
Thumbi came to the limelight after the death of Ken Okoth and it’s Nairobi governor Sonko who revealed that she had an affair with the Kibra MP and had a son together.
Thumbi, who was locked out of Okoth’s funeral preparations sued the MP’s mother and his wife Monica as well Lee funeral home.
She also demanded a DNA test be done, which confirmed that her son was indeed Okoth’s.
She seems to have moved on and photos of her with Mariga, who will be running against her brother-in-law Imran Okoth in Kibra’s by-election have raised eyebrows.
