Media personality Julie Gichuru has revealed that she married a Jamhuri high school alumni. In a lengthy post, Julie reminisced her old high days back at Loreto Msongari.

Julie narrated how Jamhuri boys were so loud and apologetic but despite her fellow students criticizing them, she fell in love with one.

So, when I was in high school, many, many, many years ago 😄 we would panic when Jamu boys came through our all-girls convent school, Msongari. This was for several reasons: the first was that many of us had brothers and friends in St Mary's, right next door. Jamu boys coming through Msongari meant that there had been a rugby match. Often these matches with Jamu (in particular) left our brothers and friends battered and bruised. We were concerned.

'The second reason was their confidence - the bold and brash manner. They walked through our school with high energy making their presence clearly known - they were loud and unapologetic. "Gosh!" us girls would say to each other. "These Jamu boys are just too much! Tsk! Tsk!"' she recounted.

Adding,

Lol! Then I went and married one 😄😄😄🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤ Here's to Jamu! May you always stay loud and proud.

Her followers reacted to her post and below are their reactions;

john.kareez LOL as a Jahmu alumni i can attest to the 2nd reason. I rem in my time a new principal was posted and one of his many words in his first speech was "what do you give/do to girls coz they get excited whenever they spot those green blazers?" ....... the power of Jamhuri

maureenwaititu I love reading your stories! And that's a beautiful one right there! 😊😍.
