Power couple Catherine Kamau alias Celina and Phil Karanja walked down the aisle in November last year. The two have for the first time revealed how they met, fell in love and moved in together.

Phil the director, spilled the beans to Kalekye Mumo on Talk Central:

'I was directing Mother-In-law where she was an actress, I think tu siku moja nilimchokoza akarespond. She was too loud, too crazy, if you told me that would me my wife, I would be like no, never. When we started talking I realized there was a lot more to it...There was content.'

Catherine added:

"He didn't like me when he was directing."

The mother of one went ahead to narrate how she got pregnant at an early age, two months after joining the Kampala Intentional university.

"I was 19. I had just joined Campus is Uganda. This was my first time away from my family. Hata sikumaliza two months, nikajazwa. I can't believe I didn't know about family planning. It happened, life changed and I had to come back home get my baby. I wrote my mum a very huge letter apologizing. That was her greatest fear, me getting pregnant while young coz she got me when she was very young but I disappointed her. Things were not easy even after the baby came.I had to earn the trust again."

She went on:

"Being a single mum is confusing because you love your child, trying to get through life, you meet people you fall in love. You don't know what at what point to introduce them, you don't know who is going to stay"

But did Phil have a problem with dating a single mum?

"She has always talked about her baby, for me it was never an issue...It has never really been an issue." Phil said

The two are taking part on a local show Sue And Jonnie.
