Posh Runda hotel Lord Erroll has been closed indefinitely after a river that passes by the establishment burst, leaving the place submerged in dirty rainwater.
In a statement by the hotel management, the hotel will be closed until further notice.
‘DUE TO UNAVOIDABLE CIRCUMSTANCES WE WOULD LIKE TO INFORM OUR VALUED GUESTS THAT WE WILL REMAIN CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
WE APOLOGIZE FOR ANY INCONVENIENCES CAUSED. WE LOOK FORWARD TO HOSTING YOU SOON.’.
This comes at a time where rains continue causing havoc in Kenya. Houses have been swept off so have people.
Just days ago, a six-storey building collapsed in Tassia, Embakassi East leaving 10 dead and scores injured.
Lord Erroll, an exclusive restaurant is named after a British aristocrat executed in 1941,
Former President Daniel Moi’s family bought the restaurant in February 2013 from its three proprietors for just under Sh300 million.
A purchase made through Koita International Kenya Limited following approval by the Competition Authority of Kenya.
