
The loss of a child is something no one ever prepares for. When death robs a parent of a child it’s a void that can never be filled.

Wilson MalabaÂ
the Interior designer and events organizer recently lost his daughter.
Malaba was in the past engaged to TV host Esther Arunga before she called off their engagement.
Malaba is now married to Muthoni Malaba.

J Blessing
Kenyan producer J Blessing and his then girlfriend Chantelle lost their six month old son in 2015.
Speaking about the loss of his son in an interview with The Star, Blessing said that despite praying to God to keep his son alive he still died.
When he was sick, he was given an immunization injection and a few weeks later.
During that time I was going through a lot in life, and I remember when doctors talked to us about his health status, I was like, I’m sure God is going to heal him.

He added
I went home that night and prayed. Around 8am, I told God, ‘Please heal my son’,
Five minutes after the prayer, I got a call from the hospital that my son had died.

Mike Okinyi
TV anchor Mike Okinyi lost his son, Twani Kitwana, after suffering from complications related to sickle cell anemia.

S.K Macharia
Royal Media boss S. K Macharia lost his son John Gichia Macharia.
John got into an accident in 2018 along the Southern bypass, he died while receiving treatment at Karen Hospital.
Juliana Kanyamozi
Ugandan songstress Juliana Kanyamozi lost her son Keron Raphael Kabugo at Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi, after suffering an asthma attack.
Keron was at the time aged 11.

After the asthma attack the then 11-year-old boy developed severe pneumonia, leaving his lungs badly infected.
Shiro Wa GP
The secular gospel artiste lost her son weeks after she delivered twins, Shro’s son passed on after only one-and-a-half months in the incubator.
The girl survived.
Speaking about her son’s death during an interview with Inooro TV Shiro said
“It was a horrific experience as it was abrupt.
It’s when after you have endeavoured so much and attained something and just when you think you have finally succeeded the devil tries to snatch your blessing right from your hands,” said.Â

Shiru wa GP and her husband had tried for over 10 years to conceive to no avail.
Mukami Mwaura
In 2017, Mukami Mwaura and her politician husband Isaac Mwaura were expecting triplets, they were delivered prematurely and sadly two of the kids died.
Mukami and Mwaura lost two of their triplets (a boy and a girl) and were left with only one son and a hospital bill of 11.2 million to clear. Their surviving son is almost turning two.

Daniel Arap Moi
Jonathan Moi was a former rally driver and son to former President Daniel Arap Moi. He participated fully in many rally tournaments such as Caltex Equator Rally which was held in Nairobi, Kenya.
Thereafter, he has maintained a low media profile.
He died in April 2019.

Akothee
Akothee has in the past lost kids. She first lost a son at 8 months, years later she suffered a miscarriage while pregnant with twins.
According to the singer the little boy was sick but she did not have enough money to take him to hospital.

King Kaka
Nana Owiti and her husband King Kaka have in the past lost a child after Nana suffered a miscarriage.
During an interview with NTV, Nana who is a mother of two disclosed that she had been walking around with a dead fetus for 5 weeks.

DJ Creme De La creme
In September 2018 celebrated spin master Creme de La Creme and his wife Denise lost their unborn child after she suffered a miscarriage.
DJ Creme shared the news on Instagram citing that he was out of the country for work when the loss happened and it breaks his heart that he was not there with his wife to support her.
Denise was three months away from her delivery date.
The couple have two kids and that would have been their third.

Terence Creative
Comedian Lawrence Macharia, alias Terence Creative, and his wife Milly Chebby have in the past lost a child after suffering a miscarriage.
Speaking about the horrible event Milly said
I was 13 weeks pregnant, but the gynaecologist said the baby died at seven weeks.
I developed complications at a very early stage and when we went to the hospital, we did a check of the heartbeat of the baby.
but the doctor said the child was not breathing.
The couple now have a daughter Millan Etai who is almost five months old.
