Lilian Muli is one of the most recognizable of media personalities. And that is not by mistake, she has carefully and rigorously worked to become one of the best female anchors that this country has produced. She strives to do her job well and be the pinnacle of journalistic expertise.
Also in her repertoire is the way she explains her private life on social media. In this day of the internet, a robust social media presence is needed if you as a media personality want to keep your fans informed and entertained.
Many savvy celebrities have learnt the powers of social media in crafting a message that is devoid of media influence as you speak directly to your fans of followers.
But there are some negative areas that social media can produce, like cyber-bullying and body shaming.
This comes with the territory.
Take DK Kwenye Beat for example. He was hounded by his followers about his being overweight and he had to take note and hit the gym.
But Lilian has come out to speak about the issue of being targeted negatively when on social media. And this woman is not one to be cowed by negativity.
She wrote on her Instagram page:
“Usione simba amenyeshewa ukadhani ni paka. It’s sad that many people I know in this industry opt out of social media coz they just can’t stand the negativity. I, however, won’t stop and certainly won’t quit Love me or not I’m here to stay”
I like what she is saying because a bully only thrives when you stop fighting them.
