There’s no tragedy in life like the death of a child. It occasions a passion of grief and frantic tears. Rapper DNA and his family are grieving the death of his son, Jamaal Ali Waweru.
Jamaal who was a grade three student of Kitengelea International school, drowned in the school’s swimming pool.
The nine-year-old was pronounced dead after being rushed to the Nairobi Women’s hospital in Lang’ata.

According to sources who spoke to Mpasho.co.ke, the body of the young one was later taken to Shalom Funeral Home.
In a funeral announcement by the family seen by Mpasho.co.ke , Jamaal passed on, on Wednesday, 28 March 2018. He was buried on Thursday, April 5 2018.
Respect was accorded to both the Christian and Muslim faiths. A tribute service was held at the Montezuma Chapel at on the burial day at 9.30am.
Thereafter the procession headed to South C Mosque for final rights at 11.00am before proceeding to Langata Cemetery at 12.00pm where Jamaal was laid to rest.
The funeral announcement described Jamaal:
“He was a good, kind, loving and talented boy.”
Adding, “Live well. Only today is assured.”
Jamaal’s siblings are Utugi and Wendo Waweru and the mum is Khadija Ali Wako.
An overwhelmed DNA thanked everyone for their support saying,
“Family, friends & fans – Thank you all for your support. Thank you media fraternity for being respectful in your reporting. I love you Jamaal.”
