A Kenyan lady has shared her harrowing experience dealing with alcoholism. During an interview with YouTuber Sharing Moments with Justus, the lady shared her terrible experience with alcohol addiction.

She recounted how her struggle nearly destroyed her life and expressed deep regret over her past actions.

Reflecting on her appearance, she was shocked by the changes she saw in herself. "I felt so ugly and old. When I looked in the mirror, I thought, 'This girl is so ugly,'" she said.

She admitted that the painful memories of her actions while addicted might haunt her for life. Her two decades of alcoholism were marked by both vibrant moments and deep darkness.

She believes her addiction stemmed from unresolved childhood issues. "I think it’s because of things that happened in my childhood that I never confronted. I've never talked about this," she revealed.

Some of these traumatic experiences included inappropriate advances from an uncle in fourth grade and similar abuse by a housemaid during her upbringing.

She felt that alcohol was a way to numb the pain from these experiences. Ultimately, her addiction led to numerous conflicts with others and severe financial difficulties.

She went on to reveal that she had sold her belongings after losing her job, stating, "I have sold everything; the only thing I haven’t sold is my soul to the devil."

After undergoing therapy, she has transformed her life and now works as a therapist, dedicated to helping others overcome addiction.
