A Nigerian woman residing in London has publicly called on her fellow Nigerian women living in the city to refrain from reporting their husbands to the the London Metropolitan Police in disputes that could be resolved amicably at home.

The Landon Metropolitan police has issued warning letters to Nigerians to stop involving them in petty marital issues that do not necessitate police intervention.

She stated that many of these matters can be handled through communication and understanding rather than escalating them to law enforcement.

"Nigerian women in London,UK, stop reporting your husbands .London metropolitan police have sent warning letters to Nigerian women to stop calling them for every small matter," she urged.

According to her, women living in UK frequently take advantage of the legal protections and rights available to them.

This empowerment allows them to report numerous misunderstandings with their husbands but the women are misusing the right by reporting their husbands on daily basis which has become tiresome for the government .

"You think because you have the power and right as a woman living in the western world every little misunderstanding you have with your husband you have to call police! Little things that don't even make sense."

She concluded by advising young women moving to the UK not to follow others who report their partners for every little misunderstanding.

She wonders why women lived happily for more than ten years in Nigeria with their husbands but after relocating they fail to maintain the lifestyle and norms they had as partners back then.
