A 37-year-old man has revealed his dilemma after reportedly developing romantic feelings for his mother-in-law.
In a private message sent online seeking advice, the man said he has been confused ever since he began meeting his fiancée's mother.
He explained that he is in a relationship with a 24-year-old woman, while his prospective mother-in-law is 46. Now, his heart has fallen for the mother instead of the daughter.
After visiting his fiancée’s mother, who is close in age to him, he found himself more attracted to her.
The man noted that his fiancée’s mother is unmarried and he has been trying to suppress his feelings for her, but every time he sees her, he finds himself physically stirred and overwhelmed.
He wrote:
“Honestly, I don’t know if this is right, but I think I’m in love with my fiancée’s mother. Since the day I met her, I’ve been trying to control these feelings. She is 46, I’m 37, and my fiancée is 24.”
Some people have strongly criticized him, accusing him of being overly ambitious, while others have advised him to follow his heart, suggesting that what the heart desires is a remedy.
