He was immediately captivated by Gloria. "I started to approach her slowly. We were just vibing, and it felt like my mind was shifting away from the protest. I started with a simple 'Hi, how are you?' and we got to know each other."
Gloria, who is known for her cheerful demeanor, was charmed by Tony's enthusiasm. "We were in the middle of the protest, and then we decided to divert and do our own thing," Gloria recalled with a laugh. "We left the protest behind and went off on our own."
When asked if anything significant happened, both Gloria and Tony laughed off the suggestion. "Nooo," Gloria said, adding, "It was just about getting to know each other. We talked and talked. He’s very talkative, by the way."
Gloria was delighted she agreed to leave the protest to spend more time with Tony. "He makes me laugh all the time, so I thought, ‘Let’s go have some tea,’" she shared.
"He was right next to me, and we ended up talking and laughing. After I finished my errands, I suggested we get tea together. And here we are."
She expressed her joy, saying, "He’s very funny and can create stories out of nowhere, making me laugh. I love laughing, and it was amazing to end up having such a good time, especially when I wasn't having the best day before."
Their shared careers in hospitality haven’t gone unnoticed. Tony joked, "We’re both in the food industry, so everything’s good."
Tony proposed to Gloria, addressing any skepticism about their new relationship. "We don’t play games. I proposed to her right here," he assured, hugging her.
Gloria confirmed their engagement with a shy smile, saying, "It’s true. I said 'yes.'" Tony continued to make her laugh, adding, "I proposed for real. This is not a joke."
