"The journey of a thousand miles starts with the first step," she begins in a video explaining her reasons.

"My name is Rose Tata Wekesa a teacher of Science. from Nairobi Kenya. I will be attempting to set a new Guinness World Record for the longest science lesson by an individual," she continues.

"In this attempt, I will be teaching science subjects of Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, for a minimum of 50 hours nonstop. I am doing this to inspire the world that Sciences are indeed doable. I am also doing this to display that teaching is a noble career and that teachers should be highly esteemed. This is a nonprofit-making venture."

Rose became the second Kenyan to attempt the Guinness World Book Record, but now in a different category. The First was Chel Maliha Mohamed.

Nigerian Hilda Baci was confirmed in June by the Guinness World Record as the new holder for the much-coveted record after cooking for 100 hours straight.
