The MTV Video Music Awards happen every year. For the past two years `American rapper and songwriter Nicki Minaj has been the host of the show.

The awards were created to celebrate upcoming artists and also upcoming artists who have done great things in their musical journey.

Most celebrities take the Media Video Awards as a platform to showcase their gorgeous bodies and flaunt their latest relationships on the red carpet.

This year they didn't disappoint and went out of their way to make sure they looked the very best for the paparazzi and red carpet.

3) Cardi B

Cardi B being the extra human being, decided to walk into the event dressed in a silver clipper dress that glittered every time light struck it. Clearly, even if she didn't win an award she won the show with her glittering.

4) Shakira

The Afrobeats musician decided to flaunt his African culture on the red carpet and wore a  jungle green leather suit. Other than his fashion sense Rema received an award for his famous song collaboration Calm Down with Selena Gomez.

6) Selena Gomez

It's normally said that a woman can't go wrong in red and Selena didn't disappoint she walked into the event dressed in a red floral dress that exposed her gorgeous body and stunning beauty.

7)Ice Spice
