According to the most recent 2022 Kenya Demographic and Health Survey, 15 out of every 100 women and 17 out of every 100 men between the ages of 15 and 49 have never engaged in sexual activity.

According to the poll, which the Kenya Bureau of Statistics released on Monday, the percentage is highest among people between the ages of 18 and 24.

“Rural women age 25 to 49 marry earlier than their urban counterparts; median age at first marriage is 20.1 in rural areas and 22.4 years in urban areas,” the report says.

The paper claims that when wealth levels rise, the median age at first marriage rises as well.

According to the survey, 20 percent of men in the age range of 25 to 49 had their first sexual encounter before turning 15, compared to 15 percent of women in the same age range.

According to the study, by the age of 20, 72% of men and women between the ages of 25 and 49 had experienced their first sexual encounter.
