Pastor Tony Kiamah recently turned a year older and the man of God took to his social media to pen a note to himself.

He wrote;

"Thanking God for His goodness, I have known HIM as a father and as a friend. Happy +1."

The Pastor this past weekend held a summon where he shared about a habit many Kenyans have. That of referring to their preachers as mum and dad.

He is not pleased with that and advised against it.

"A pastor is not your mother, a pastor is not your father. Don't call me dad. I'm not your dad. I am your pastor You see it is very deliberate coz when you call a pastor mum or dad, you see a parent's word is beyond question. A parent's word is absolute, so when a pastor carries the title dad, he is basically saying I am beyond question, whatever I say you carry."

Citing the case of the Shakahola death camps where mass graves continue to be unearthed.

"That is why they are leading people to death in Shakahola, hawa ni mum na dad. Jesus was God, how come he didn't demand the disciples to call him dad?

Na for Jesus they actually lived with him. He was with them for three years That would have been the reason for them to call him dad. But they never did, there is no record of the disciples calling Jesus dad or mum. But it's a deliberate scheme for manipulators."

Even Kenya's youngest Pastor Victor Githu has cautioned against glorifying religious leaders. Over the weekend, he also gave his opinion on the Shakahola massacres, terming it a cult.

He is in Minnesota where he spoke on his popular social media channels saying,

“Christians, do not be fooled by your faith. You need to remember there's a difference between faith and fantasy. Be careful where they go because not everywhere we go is God's place.”
