A 19-year-old boy has been left in the crosshairs with his own dad after winning a large sum of money from a gambling game.

According to information from Nigerian newspapers, the young man had invested in online gambling using 450 Naira which is equivalent to 134 Kenyan shillings.

Fortunately, the 19-year-old won 38 million Naira which is equivalent to 11 million Kenyan shillings.

He happily ran home and informed his parents about the win, but the man's father refused to listen to him saying that he could not approve the money in his home, despite being shown the bet that won the amount.

The lucky winner's brother, who shared the story on the NGL message board, revealed that his brother won the money, but their father insists on returning it to the betting company.

According to him, the man strongly opposes anything related to gambling, which is why he refuses to allow his son to keep the money as he knows it is from sports betting.

"My 19-year-old brother won N38M using 450 naira and my father insists that he return the money from the games because he does not support gambling despite explaining and showing him the slip, he still insists.

Our rent is due in two months, now it has caused problems between him and mother. Please give me good advice."

This has created problems in their home as his wife is upset with his decision to throw away the blessing especially since their rent is due in a few months.
