The man captured in a video on Valentine's day being beaten with his flowers by an angry woman has explained the viral clip.
On Wednesday a video was leaked online, showing a man handing over a bouquet of roses to a woman while kneeling.
The woman rejects the flowers and hits him repeatedly with them. She shouts at him as guards try to intervene. She slaps him as he holds her back.
KOT have reacted to the video believing it was staged. However, the man says it was not clout chasing.
He explained his predicament to YouTuber Martin Dean Kenya on YouTube.
"Im fine but not soo fine, manze niko tuu hivo lakini.." he shared.
The man named Ricky told about his humiliation.
"For now we are not dating right now, but we used to. When I used to date Chero, the problems began when I had a lady friend of mine, she was my best friend and came to my house one day and also Chero used to come. So you know when you are dating she can pop in any time she had my house and gate key."
Ricky said that one day Chero came unexpectedly to his house. "That time I had a lady friend in my house, and we were just talking."
When his girlfriend came, she found a woman and got upset after assuming he was cheating. She refused his explanation about their situation.
"The way dame alikuwa amedress, Chero felt something had happened. I followed her to try and explain but she walked away, so I left her to leave."
They stayed several days without speaking, before speaking again. They forgave each other and decided to end the relationship. He insists they have remained cool friends.
She asked him about his plans for Valentine's on Monday 13th "Ali ni call akaniuliza form ni aje? Nikamwambia nimetulia na kesho I planned to go to town nijibambe."
He wanted to treat himself to some Chicken, and she invited herself to his date.
"Kama boychild na nimekuwa single hivo I took it as an advantage kwangu."
He bought her flowers for sh1200, as a gift to plead for more forgiveness. While holding the flowers to hand over to her, hoping to use the crowd to entice her to forgive him.
"Kenye ilihappen, ili happen, it was unexpected, nilishtuka," he said while laughing and added, "I had a wallet that disappeared, it had sh1500, adi fare ya kurudi mtaani ni msee alinipea."
Describing the beating, Ricky said, "I wanted to be a gentleman when giving her the flowers so I knelt to hand them over like a proposal so I assumed she would accept the bouquet."
Unfortunately for Ricky, he was handed a slap, "Akaanza kuteta then hizo flowers akanipiga nazo as in bro nilishtuka kwanza nili shtuka. Nilishindwa kujitetea na singe bishana na yeye."
They pushed and shoved each other, and were almost arrested by County Askaris for disturbing the peace.
"Mpaka makarau waka come, mimi nilishindwa kitu ya kufanya".
Ricky thinks she rejected the roses because they maybe reminded her of the past.
