• The Governor has promised Nyeri girls that their men will give them a very romantic day

A man on social media whipped up emotions after penning that the only place Nyeri residents have to celebrate their Valentine's Day is in butcheries.

He noted that the county has no cute places for men to take their women to celebrate the lovers' day.

The governor has responded to the comment that Nyeri has no cute spots to celebrate Valentine's day.

This follows a video on Tiktok by Mbote Njogu who shamed the county.

"Can you imagine going for Valentine's date to a butchery, eating ugali which makes one feel sleepy and you forget the flowers in the butchery?"

Adding,

"Governor Mutahi Kahiga, can you stop everything that you are doing including the construction of roads, and first of all bring to the people of Nyeri either a Java, KFC, or even Chicken inn where Nyerians can go for a date instead of going to butcheries to eat meat and ugali," he added.

On his official Tiktok account, the Governor assured Nyeri women that this will not happen, he in fact told them to prepare for the most romantic day ever.

He slammed the TikToker reacting in his native Kikuyu language that there are cute places to take your loved one for Valentine's.

"I want to address someone by the name Mbote. Mbote I want to tell you that I heard what you said, that people of Nyeri want KFC, ati Java."

He added, "Let me tell you that Nyeri county is prepared for Valentine's day and no one will take their woman to butcheries. the way you are thinking. We have beautiful hotels to take them to we have flowers to give them, we even have places to take them to make them happy *laughing*, " he hinted

In the two-minute-long video, the Governor appears to be in an office, and smartly dressed in a tie and suit.

"So telling us things about KFC and Java, are you forgetting that we are potato growers and we are leaders in potato farming, so that thing of KFC and tu chips we can't be alike.

However, we have heard your concern and yesterday I tried to reach out to the KFC management and I will continue searching for them, even Java I will reach out, but remember it is us who grow coffee."

He finished by gently telling of the Kenyan for shaming Nyeri by saying,

"I have heard you shame us, but there is no problem, and if you ever see us going for Valentines in a butchery come and ask me. We will give them roses, so please go slow," he concluded.
