Kisii Woman Representative Donya Dorice Toto Aburi has come out to say that she too has been blocked from helping Baby Sagini.

Aburi was responding to Former Nairobi Governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko's claim that he had been barred from accessing the child and helping him.

She said on Facebook that she does not doubt Sonko's claim one bit.

"I too tried with the help of CS Jumwa to rescue the boy and the Sister but knocked a dead-end," she said.

Aburi says that they were told the Children's Protection Act does not permit it.

"And if it does, several procedures need to be followed," she said.

She said that sadly, the procedures are nearly impossible to follow through.

Sonko had said that his attempts to get Baby Sagini to consult an eye specialist in Westlands hit a dead end.

"We wanted the baby's review report to be emailed to China so that we can start the process of flying him there for artificial eye implants," he said.

He however said that he would not stop trying to help the child and his seven-year-old sister.
