A practicing Kenyan pediatrician identified as Dr. Elizabeth Kuta, earlier thrilled people's hearts after confirming that she's not only a doctor but also a DJ.
The doctor said that after finalizing her medical studies she chose to start attending a DJ class because of her great interest in music.
Could this be related to situations where parents chose what to do for their children?
It's her love for music that drove her not to give her a second thought after completing six years in medical school.
The doctor who is currently specializing in Neonatology (a subspecialty of pediatrics that consists of the medical care of newborn infants, especially the ill or premature newborn) at the Aga Khan University Hospital in Kisumu is otherwise identified as DJ Branula.
She said;
'Most of my colleagues never believe I'm also a good DJ. I even have some of my mixtapes on Mix Cloud."
The mother of four confirmed that her interest was initially in Engineering but she was limited by her final performance in high school.
Speaking to Joanne R, Elizabeth confirmed that she sacrifices a lot as a woman. Sacrifices like leaving her family in Kisumu to spend an entire week in Nairobi for her medical school work.
"My schedule for the week, Monday to Friday I'm in Nairobi doing my school work so you know medicine you learn by entrepreneurship, or rather it's opportunistic learning so you have to be in the wards, you have to do the rounds and be there during the learning sessions. Most of the weekends when I'm not on duty in Nairobi, I travel back to Kisumu to get back to my family, she said.
