META owned WhatsApp has restored its services one hour after it went down.
Millions of users across the world reported not being able to send or receive messages using the app.
The outage that occurred mid-morning on Tuesday, left many WhatsApp users endlessly rebooting their connections and re-installing the app.
A spokesperson for Meta said;
"We're aware that some people are currently having trouble sending messages and we're working to restore WhatsApp for everyone as quickly as possible."
More than 2 billion people in over 180 countries use WhatsApp to stay in touch with friends and family, anytime and anywhere. Meta is yet to give a statement on the outage.
The app is now fully restored and users able to use it.
