Today morning, CEO of the Kenya Association of Travel Agents, Agnes Mucuha kicked of the Dubai Tourism roadshow in style when she spoke to guests about the goodies can access when they visit Dubai.

The roadshow will highlight Dubai’s affordable experiences and the diversity of the city’s offerings to key travel partners in the visited cities.

Speaking to participants, Agnes explored the diverse opportunities and value of visiting Dubai to Kenyans. "We are very excited today to be in partnership with Dubai tourism. We have a collaboration that has been in place for the past five years counting."

Agnes added,

"And we worked together to promote Dubai tourism, travel, hospitality and and medical tourism destination. In this expo that is taking place today we are showcasing over 30 exhibitors who have flown in from Dubai who are going to be featuring various attractions, hotels . We also have the Dubai health administration present and they will be showcasing the various medical treatments that they have on offer."

What are some of the exciting offers on the table?

"Some of the offers that the partners will indulge in are deals and packages for accommodation for local stays in Dubai . If you are a trader and are looking for into growing and expanding your business, you will have the opportunity to learn about some of the key source cities or towns that you can visit in UAE for you to source for your goods, for you to source for your products that you can come in and resell in Kenya. And so as you collaborate with agents to access some of these deals . You will be incentivized with with the right packages at the right price. Also be connected to the right partners locally in UAE. "

The CEO also boasted about the closeness of Dubai to world cup hosts Qatar, an event that is  scheduled for November this year.

"It's going to be taking place in the state of Qatar. And so Dubai is a stopover country, and also a getaway into the World Cup. So you can actually go watch world cup in Qatar and  also come and reside in Dubai and continue to indulge in your shopping."

The CEO explained that medical industry in Dubai will also benefit sick Kenyans.

"You can also get your full boy check up . you can also get to learn more about some of the learning institutions that are currently located in Dubai so that now leveraging information. You can inform decisions that will grow you empower you as a Kenyan."

Can Kenyans access cheaper education? Agnes responded, "Dubai has revolutionized its education division. They have many global institutions which are domiciled in UAE. So the opportunity again for a Kenyan who is collaborating through a travel agent, they will be able to access information about the Universities institutions of higher learning , they will also access information from the technical schools that are currently based in UAE and as you have ever seen our Government in Kenyan has been advancing on the TIVET program and so here are very many opportunities for people to come and transfer skills and knowledge from the best institutions."

The hospitality industry according to Agnes is also thriving;

"Hospitality is very broad. When you look at Dubai cosmopolitan city, it offers attractions. Everything is themed. If you are travelling for instance with family and kids, you have specific hotels that cater to the experience for kids."

They offer things like Disney Theme Parks They have the water parks, the small Ferrari parks so that they can indulge in some of those experiences so it's all centered on creating an emotional experience connection between the traveler and the destination."
