Alcohol intake is common among young people; every other Friday night or weekend youths are out in clubs partying.

Alcohol can either ruin your life entirely; or it can be a drink you could enjoy during your leisure. Most people get hangovers the next it's due to their alcohol intake.

There are several tips on how one can take alcohol responsibly without interfering with your day to day activities.

Here are some of the tips you should follow next time you are out having a drink;

Have a good meal

This should be the first thing you do before you start to drink.

Get a meal that is heavy enough to help you hold your liquor; food can help as you will drink on a full stomach.

Drinking alcohol on an empty stomach might cause health problems and can escalate your alcohol more than it would on a full stomach.

Don't mix alcohol with medication

If you have health complications, you should know better than to drink.

Taking alcohol with medication may cause more harm than good to you, ensure to look at your medications or consult your doctor on whether to drink.

Medicine requires a lot of water to be in your system, alcohol intake will cause a distraught to your as it dehydrates your body system.

Designated driver

Cheap liquor has more impurities than expensive ones; when a drink is 4 times distilled is better to drink and has a bearable taste.

Slow down

Different people have different alcohol tolerance, when drinking you should take a slower pace.

It's easy to just gobble drinks down your throat but that will eventually catch up with you and you won't be able to handle your liquor.

Ensure to take your drink slowly, have one drink in an hour just to feel how your body takes it.

When to quit

When having alcohol and you are having a great time it is hard to tell yourself to stop.

You should limit yourself even before the night started on how many drinks you should have to contain yourself and still have a good time.

You can also talk to your friends and let them know what amount of alcohol you intend to have to ensure you are not too drunk.
