The only Kenyan who is a brand ambassador for Fenty products is Social media sensation and influencer Elsa Majimbo who was selected by Rihanna's Fenty Beauty as a brand ambassador for its sunglasses in 2021.
On Tuesday, Barbadian billionaire Rihanna announced that her business will be expanding to Africa.
Kenya was named among the countries where Fenty Skin and beauty products will be sold locally.
"I’ve been waiting for this moment!! @fentybeauty & @fentyskin are finally dropping in AFRICA!!!
Botswana, Ghana, Kenya, Namibia, Nigeria, South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe...we comin at ya May 27th and that’s just the beginning!!! #FentyAfrica," Rihanna announced.
The excitement from the announcement generated a lot of buzz online.
The billion-dollar company also announced the news after Rihanna in a tweet
"The wait is finally ova!!!! AFRICA -we pullin up! Who ready?! We’ve been workin hard to make this happen! We'll be available in Nigeria, Kenya, Namibia, Botswana, Ghana, Zambia and Zimbabwe local retailers starting MAY 27!"
The products will be sold at Lintons beauty shop in Kenya.
No one has been named as the new face of Fenty Beauty for Kenya after the May 11th announcement.
In 2017, Rihanna launched Fenty Beauty as an inclusive brand for “everyone feel beautiful and recognized, no matter their race, ethnicity, culture or personal style,” and has since been praised for its diversity within the beauty space.
