The government on Tuesday gazetted price charges for using the Nairobi Expressway once the project is open for public use.

According to the Gazette notice, each driver on the Nairobi Expressway will be required to pay a fee of between Sh310 and Sh100 to use the new road. The charges will depend on the distance travelled.

The gazette notice also indicated what will not be allowed to use the expressway.

Here is a list of people and their machines that are not allowed on the expressway.

1. Jaywalkers -  Someone who walks across a street at a place where it is not allowed or without taking care to avoid the traffic.

2. Watu was Mjengo - Yaani wheelbarrow pushers

3. Tuktuk drivers

4. Roller skaters

5. Boda boda riders

6. Mkokoteni and handcart pushers

7. Sooter riders

8. Cyclists

9. Motorcyclists who like racing on roads

10. Hawkers
