It's no longer news to hear songs named after different popular personalities.

Some are done out of love while some are just a form of appreciation to the person named.

We take a look at Kenyans with songs named after them.

Atwoli

Francis Atwoli is among prominent people who have songs named after him.

The first song was created in 2019 by  Evala Mbuta and Nyboma.

The recent song is by Faya Tess. The songs are mostly created on Atwoli's birthdays.

We are sure this won't be the last time we hear of another Atwoli song.

Vera 

Maasai born Kenyan artiste Paapa Maasai has a song named 'Vera' which was released in September 2021.

Papaa says he sang the song to appreciate Vera due to the impact she has made in the industry.

Jalango

Jalango is the latest celebrity to have a song named after him.

The only difference is that his song is a campaign song created by Mtumba Man.

Nabayet

In 2019 Kenyan sensation Otile brown released a song dubbed 'Nabayet' which was dedicated to his then Ethiopian bae Nabayet.

The couple has since broke up but the song is still a hit, it has so far garnered more than 4.7 million views on You Tube.
