The debate on who will replace Jalango on the Morning Kiss has been very heated.

This was after Jalango announced that he was quitting to go and join politics.

We take a look at what makes co-hosts and their partners thrive.

Chemistry

The truth is without chemistry a duo cannot form a co-hosting team.

Such a team requires people who can laugh at each other's jokes, not because it's a necessity but because they are funny.

Ever listened to how Maina Kageni laughs at Mwalimu King'ang'is jokes? That is what we call chemistry.

No ego

When a company hires someone to host a radio it means that person is already known by the public.

When it hires a co-host the same applies. For a team to work seamlessly the duo must put their ego's aside.

It should not be nani mkali kuliko mwingine. The main agenda should be for the duo to look and see what they can do to be the best there is.

Vibrancy

TV/ Radio hosting requires someone who is bubbly, energetic and someone who can easily connect with the audience.

So if wewe ni wale was "I do not interact with strangers" this is not for you.

Between Dr Ofweneke and Oga Obinna who do you think should replace Jalango?
