Kenyan comedian, Shaniqwa, says he thought the distance would help save his marriage but to no avail. The celebrated actor says the trouble started when he lost his job. 

Speaking during an interview with Massawe Japanni, he said, "I lost my job in 2020 and that is when everything started going from bad to worse. I decided to go back to ushago for some time, after I came to Nairobi things only got worse."

It became hard for me because at that time I not only lost my job but I also lost my family. According to me, I feel like it reached a point and I became a burden because I was not providing as she would have wanted.

Both of us were not working, I talked to a friend of mine who got her a job. That is the one mistake I did because after she got the job I lost her for good."

Shaniqwa who was married to Naomi Jemutai alias Mkale Msungu alleges that his now ex-wife started cheating on him.

"I would be the one babysitting the entire time unless I was going for shoots. At the time I was shooting as Kevin and not as Shaniqwa so I was not getting many views.

Little means no revenue from YouTube. There is a day I was just chilling when a message from another man popped up on her phone, the man was asking 'Nikupikie nini ukikuja?'

I added one plus one and realized there were times she would say she was going to work yet she wasn't. She later blocked me from viewing her status but my friends would share screenshots of her with her new bae.

Some screenshots of the photos were very graphic, that is when I realized I had lost her. I decided to accept as holding much longer would only have made me hurt more. She left with our son but she later returned him and I am the one taking care of him.'

The couple has since deleted photos of each other on their socials.
