Classic 105 radio host Mike Mondo has opened up on his reaction when he learned he would be a father.

The mellow voiced presenter says he was 'shocked' as he felt his condition at the time was not good enough to bring up a child.

Sharing his experience with Mwalimu King'ang'i, Mike narrated,

"Nilisweat.

You are told she is expectant, you think of your salary you feel it's not enough. You think of where you live you feel the house is not good enough."

Mwalimu King'ang'i responded saying most women are intentional about who they get pregnant for.

"By the time a lady anapata mimba yako, she knows what she is doing."

In 2021 Mike had taken to his socials to celebrate her daughter Nicole in the message below.

"Happy Birthday my love.

Daddy loves you so much. Be brave, be fierce and be happy. Life can be messed up, but you were raised to be great regardless of that mess.

Grow mentally and emotionally, love others as you would have them love you.. And when you feel backed up against a wall, kneel down and say a prayer.

You my dear, shall be greater than anything I ever imagined for you.  Happy Birthday Nicole. #LOML"
