Mombasa based artist Nyota Ndogo has told off fans asking why she keeps working yet she has a mzungu husband.
The 'Watu na Viatu' hitmaker says she is used to making her own money and that won't change just because she is now married.
"People ask me why I keep working yet am married to a man with money. What people do not know is that there is today and there is tomorrow.
Most women who get married by wealthy men forget who they are and assume they hold the world by their hands.
Before getting married I was used to working and making my own money no matter how small it is am proud of it," Nyota Ndogo shared.
The mother of two says tomorrow is not guaranteed hence she must take action into her own hands.
"To those saying I should not work, remember people die. He might die and leave me stranded because I have chosen not to work.
I might end up being the laughing stock as I was used to having everything done for me. That is when people will have things to talk about.
We have seen many people who were doing very well but went back to zero after losing their partners because they were not doing anything (working). Just leave me alone, I love what I do."
