Madam boss a.k.a president of single mothers Akothee is in hospital.

She has been hospitalised over what she revealed was a pinched nerve.

"Ever suffered from a pinched nerve?" She asked fans

In another post, the singer - real name Esther Kokeyo - pointed out that the condition has left her with a severe "lost energy on my left arm."

According to Mayo Clinic the causes of this condition is when too much pressure is applied to a nerve by surrounding tissues, such as bones, cartilage, muscles or tendons. This pressure disrupts the nerve's function, causing pain, tingling, numbness or weakness.

In Akothee's case, a pinched nerve in her wrist can lead to pain and numbness in her hand and fingers it is known as the carpal tunnel syndrome.

With rest and other conservative treatments, most people recover from a pinched nerve within a few days or weeks. Sometimes, surgery is needed to relieve pain from a pinched nerve.

To prevent pinched nerves doctors recommend that one maintains good positioning — don't cross your legs or lie in any one position for a long time.

It is also important to incorporate strength and flexibility exercises into your regular exercise program as well as limit repetitive activities and take frequent breaks when engaging in these activities.

And finally to maintain a healthy weight.
