Jimal Rohosafi-A fool or a fool in love?

Jimal Rohosafi did something yesterday that had many scratching their heads. The wealthy businessman celebrated his former wife, Amber Ray on her birthday with a lovely video montage.

The move was met with instant revulsion and anger from his wife, Amira. She called him out in several messages she posted on her Instastories.

In one of them, she announced that she would be asking for a divorce from him. "As from today, kindly consider me a single mum. Jamal Rohosafi, get that divorce paper ready. I am not going to allow you to disrespect me again."

In another, she railed at Jimal for not celebrating his own son's birthday, while he was quick to do it for someone he didn't share any blood with. "The audacity, you couldn't even post your son on his birthday."

This brings me to the point of my story. How could Jimal make such a rookie mistake? What motivated him to do something that could possibly cause the dissolution of his marriage?

His actions today boggle the mind, especially when one remembers the drama his short union to Amber caused his first marriage.

The marriage caused so much trouble for him that I believe Jimal had to make a pragmatic choice on whether he would stay with his first wife (and kids) or Amber.

I believe he was also given an ultimatum by Amira and thus chose to split up with Amber Ray in August his year for the sake of his first family.

So again, I ask? Why would he do something that even the most socially inept among us would never do? Something that would most likely cause a crisis in his own marriage.

I think a possible reason might be that he is still in love/infatuated with Amber. His action yesterday morning didn't seem rational to me.

These are actions of a man who would rather lose the throne than part with the 'love of his life'. He reminds me of Edward III of England, who chose to abdicate rather than not be able to marry the American divorcĂ©e, Wallis Warfield Simpson.

Could Jimal's action be interpreted as him crossing his Rubicon as Caesar did eons ago on his legendary march to Rome?

That Jimal is finally marching to the beat of his own drum, the consequences be damned and that he will love and publicly honour the woman he loves?

Maybe...Or it could just be clout-chasing. Maybe...But even if it is, I think that the price is too high!

But what do I know?
