Veteran Swahili host, Badi Muhsin, is dead

Badi Muhsin the veteran Swahili news anchor is dead. He passed on this afternoon in Mombasa County where he was on official duty.

According to a report by KBC news, his brother Hafidh Muhsin said that they had had lunch together in the afternoon with the newscaster being of good spirits.

Badi would, later on, take a nap. That would be the last time he was seen alive as he was found dead afterward.

The reason for Badi's stay in Mombasa was that he had travelled there to interview Alice Tabu for Dira ya Magwiji, the Swahili news segment he used to host on the weekends.

His death comes just a few months after he made a comeback for his second stint on KBC. The beloved news anchor leaves behind a wife and 2 children.

Some of the comments from Kenyans mourning his passing are below;

May Almighty Allah forgive him and grant Janna. To the family have sabr at this time of sorrow. The media fraternity have lost a veteran who was always jovial with smile. Kwaheri ndugu.

This is sad. Grew up watching this guy. May he rest with the angels. RIP.

May he rest in perfect peace; whenever I watched him reading the news I used to say that's me;... Have a great rest senior!

May his soul rest in peace.
