After emerging the fastest man in Africa in the Kip Keino Classic, Omanyala will not be taking part in another competition this year.
Omanyala thanked his manager Marcel Viljoen (FFA) for helping him emerge victorious, promising to go bigger in the next season.
"Despite the numerous challenges, we have truly enjoyed some incredible highlights this year.
From an intense training camp in SA to the AK Olympic trials, to the Tokyo milestones, European breakthroughs, and finally, the big finish on home soil, giving me the title of the fastest man in Africa!
2021 was just the launchpad, 2022 will be electrifying! we come back better, stronger, and ready to work even harder," he shared.
