Dan is also credited for the success of the Pilsner DJ Mfalme talent search. DJ Krowbar who won the competition paid a moving tribute.

"I met Dan in 2008. He was the brand manager for Pilsner at EABL (If you know my story, you have an idea of where this might go).

Dan was approached by some top-line DJs back in 06/07 about having a DJ competition. Long story short Dan picked that vision and made it 100 times bigger.

Instead of the winner getting DJ gear he made sure the winner gets what will kick start his career on a proper footing.

What Dan did was he made sure EABL bought a van, DJ Gear, sound equipment and a full one-year radio contract.

When I won that competition on December 08 my life changed for good. He took a seed and turned it into a big tree.

As the years went by we become friends I saw him leave EABL and solidify his rooting in investing even more in humanity.

In 2020 the relationship heightened.

He made a solid effort to follow up on me and my family and making sure our readjustment back home was going on well.

He even went ahead and made a few calls for me to some of his friends and men in leadership (What an honour).

The biggest gift he gave me, was bringing his wife and kids to our house this year, we had such a fulfilling time with Chao and the kids. Today was hard, really hard... I love you, Dan. See you at Abraham's bosom."

Dan is survived by his wife Laura Chao and three children; Soniya Nyatichi, Serenae Nyaboke and Nigell Angima.
