When a couple looses their child through a miscarriage or still birth, close family members and friends always offer help.

However, the society tends to give more attention to women, forgetting that men also suffer from such a type of child loss.

In such situations, women grieve deeper, forcing men to present themselves as strong people.

A child loss is a painful ordeal to men, even though they won't lock themselves in a bedroom and weep uncontrollably, or talk about it often.

The grief from men is more internal, but this doesn't mean that they are not hurt. They are just keeping it to themselves.

Recently, media personality Willis Raburu came out to address a situation in which the public failed to recognize his relationship with his late daughter.

The journalist welcomed a son, but reports referred to him as a father of one.

This showed that many people had buried the fact that Willis lost his daughter years ago.

He stood out to count himself as a father of two, his late daughter and newborn son.

A number of women may feel like their partner has not been affected by child loss, but this is not true.

It is normal for a woman to feel differently from a man,  and it doesn’t mean that the man is not affected by the loss.

Constant communication among couples can help in dealing with child loss. Also, it is good for both men and women to seek professional help from counsellors.
