The president of African Comedy, Eric Omondi is no stranger to extravagance.
From his outlandish comedy shows to knocking heads with the former Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) CEO Ezekiel Mutua, the lad always finds a way to stay relevant.
However, one thing you cannot take away from the funnyman is his talent. He recently filled a 40,000 capacity stadium in Tanzania for a 7-hour straight comedy event.
That achievement has seen him gain more confidence himself, claiming that other entertainers could not do what he has done.
"I was the first comedian in Africa to fill a stadium in a foreign country, It has never happened and it will never happen. Ati Mnigeria aende to a foreign market na ajaze huko? Sioni!(That a Nigerian should go to a foreign stadium and fill it, I don't see that happening!)," he said.
Could Basketmouth do what Eric had done? He brashly refuted that statement with a simple and succinct answer. "It will never happen," he said.
He also added that he will tour Tanzania some more, "I am going for a show next week in Mwanza, Arusha and Dodoma," he stated.
The best part of his year so far had been making history in Tanzania.
With everything seemingly going well for the comedian, he hinted at finally settling down with the fan’s favorite for the upcoming season of his show ‘Wife Material’
"I am still looking for a wife. Bado sijampata. I have been looking for a wife. We are going to season 3 in September. Lazima nipate bibi."
