Kikuyu musician Irungu Wanjaro who is known for his street moniker Wanjaro Junior was reported missing a few days back.
Before his disappearance on July 14, 2021, Wanjaro sent a very disturbing text to his family, the contents of which that alarmed his kin.
In the text message, he indicated that the stress of being in debt has gotten to him. The text message stated that he owed Ksh 700,000 that he had no means to pay back.
“When I go missing, don’t waste a lot of time looking for me. My body will be in Sagana River,” read the last text message by Wanjaro, seen by Mpasho.co.ke.
The family pleaded with authorities to help them retrieve the body from the Masinga dam.
A search led detectives to find Wanjaro's car was found abandoned near river Sagana.
Over the weekend, Wanjaro's lifeless body was fished from the dam that is infested with crocodiles.
Mbeere South police boss Gregory Mutiso reported that residents who were going about their daily duties spotted the dead man in the dam and alerted detectives.
His body was taken to Embu Referral Hospital mortuary.
