Wiz Khalifa tests positive for Covid-19 a week after meeting Diamond Platnumz

American rapper Cameron Jibril Thomaz or Wiz Khalifa as most people know him has tested positive for Covid-19.

This comes mere days after the tall rapper met with Tanzanian crooner Diamond Platnumz. The "Black and Yellow" rapper revealed this information on his Twitter page, where he noted that he had tested positive, despite having zero symptoms of the virus.

“Okay loved ones….sooo…..Ya boy got covid. No symptoms. Just stay away from me for a lil while," he wrote on Twitter.

He added that he would follow official health protocols which dictate that he should quarantine for 14 days. However, he would still be making music while still in isolation.

“While im in the house I’ll be givin y’all new content, planning raves, and readying this new project” said Khalifa.

What is interesting about his disclosure is that the rapper had been in contact with African great Diamond Platnumz as they worked together on a song in the studio.

Diamond himself has never tested positive for Covid-19 but went into self-quarantine in March last year. This was after his manager, Sallam Sharaf, with whom he travelled with to Europe had tested positive for the virus.

Diamond had been in the states for 2 weeks where he rubbed shoulders with A-list artists like; Akon, Busta Rhymes, Swizz Beatz, Kanye West’s Manager Bu Thiam, O.T. GENASIS, Producer Hitmaka aka Christian, and Snoop Dogg.
