19-year-old Aisha Mohamed, girlfriend to Mungai Mbaya has opened up on life as a young mum.

Aisha and her boyfriend have been dating for two years before they learned they were expectant. Speaking during an interview with Tamima, she shared

''It (the pregnancy) was not planned, it just happened but we sat down and talked about it and decide to keep it.

We have been living together since we met, 2 years ago.

My parents were never OK with it but they accepted it after a while, they were doubtful at first.

My mum was scared that I was not going to fulfill all the dreams I had, also having a child I had made her feel like I won’t go back to school.’

On how her family and friends reacted to news that she was pregnant she said

‘'They were shocked, No one ever believed that I was going to settle down and start a family.

Some asked why I kept the pregnancy.

I was sure from the first day I took a test that I was going to keep it, I was happy but scared.''

Adding

‘’No one is ever ready to get a baby despite the age.

I never rushed anything, if it happens you have to accept and take responsibility for it.

I will take care of the baby no matter what happens, nothing is easy in this world so nitakazana.

I do not regret anything.’’

Describing how they met, Mungai shared

''We met through a mutual friend.

When shooting content for my YouTube, and when I saw a photo of her WhatsApp I decided to talk to her and it paid off.

No matter what circumstance I was going through there was no way I was going to deny it.

Having that discussion before it happened (the pregnancy) helped.''

Adding

‘’We living together at the time was the best option due to our circumstances.

 No one is ever ready to be a dad, But I feel like I have a purpose unlike people my age I know I must hustle for somebody else.

The couple welcomed their bundle of joy a few weeks ago.''

Mbaya is brother to ex Machachari actor Baha whose real name is Tyler Mbaya.
