Most men in Kenya shun the idea of getting married to women who already have children from their past relationships or marriages.

It is only a few men who not only dare to marry single mothers, but also commit to loving them and the children from their previous unions.

The dilemma gets bigger when the couple is blessed with other children and has to treat all the kids equally and give them equal attention.

Even though many men shun away from such relationships, some have gotten deep into it in the name of love.

Mpasho reached out to these fathers and many of them responded anonymously.

Here are some of the challenges and the happiness they encounter in trying to sustain their marriage and take care of children who are not biologically theirs.

Kevin  - "Her grown-up baby calling me daddy doesn't sit well with me."

James - "Baby daddy was painted bad guy, just to realize who was the villain later."

Isaiah - "They are a mess if the baby daddy is around and is toxic to her."

Moses - "She gives too much attention to her baby compared to me."

Just like a coin has two sides, such marriages also have their beautiful side.

Ismael - "It is actually a wonderful experience and men looking for wives can settle on single mothers."

Sammy - "The best feeling ever, i have married one who has four."

Eric - "Look at how Zari and Diamond are doing it, you will understand."

Joseph - "You should love the child first before the mother."
