Dr Chris Kirubi's memorial service is underway at Faith Evangelistic Church, Karen. He breathed his last on Monday afternoon. 

Family, friends, corporate bigwigs and political giants all eulogized Kirubi and praised him for his business acumen.

Prime minister Raila Odinga even narrated how they shot the Jerusalema change with the late Kirubi and it went viral.

Also speaking at the memorial was Christopher Junior, his grandson. He reminisced on his relationship with the media mogul.

"I was reminded of a memory when I was really young, and Guka called me, and he would always ask me about school. How I was doing. I would try and tell him that 'oh I was having a great time and I enjoyed school.'

He would always interrupt me and say, 'But are you number one?'

Adding:

"My ife has taken a very different path than his and I have no head for business and money and my dad can attest to that.

I want to say how grateful I am to have someone who constantly inspired and encouraged me to be great and show me what greatnes is."

Christopher continued,

"While I mourn the time that we have spent together, I also mourn the fact that I don't have the chance now as an adult to show him the life that I built for myself, and the things that I have achieved.

And to express to him how grateful that I am and how instrumental that he has been to help me build that.

I'm very proud to be his grandchild."
