Former KTN news anchor Robert Soi's life was celebrated during a requiem mass held at his home in Oloosirkon, Tuala, Kajiado East.

Soi will be laid to rest on Saturday, June 12, 2021, in Kabartegan Village, Chemosot Sub-County, Kericho County.

Soi breathed his last on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at The Nairobi Hospital.

He is survived by his wife Catherine Soi and brothers to Anthony, Caroline (USA), Brenda, Job, Howard, Charles, David, John, Peter and Geoffrey.

He was the son of the late Senator James Soi, Winsome and Susan Soi of Kabartegan Village Kericho. Son-in-law to the late retired Deputy Police Commissioner Joseph Wambua and Esther Wambua.

One of his last social media posts he celebrated a pal who passes away. And his words were prophetic in nature.

He wrote on Facebook, "Everyone has a calling for their life, and everyone is unique. Some people don't deserve to die but we will die any way at some point.

I never imagined in the mid 90's a Luo would battle to make sure I get where I am today. Tribal warfare does not and will never beat a good spirit. I want to celebrate the life of someone who appreciated me and gave me an opportunity to get where I am today, rest in peace Winter Onyango."

On June 11. Soi's life was also celebrated for the big beautiful mark he left on earth.
