Karen Nyamu has narrated how eager she was to become a mother more than six years ago before she welcomed her daughter.

Karen was so eager to hold a baby in her arms that she would cry at the sight of her menses.

Sharing her second pregnancy journey during an interview with Picha Clear films, the mother of two narrated,

'I wanted a child and I was anxious I would cry every time my menses came because I wanted a baby so badly.

One day I could feel it in my gut that I was pregnant and I thanked God for it.

The pregnancy was very smooth although I was put on epidural and when I was about to push they removed the epidural.

My daughter is now six, She is a bubbly girl, she likes to dance and she makes me happy.'

Speaking about her second pregnancy in which she bore a son for Mugithi Maestro Sammidoh, Karen shared,

I found out I was expectant after missing my period for two weeks, so I sent a boda guy for test kits.

I hear it’s advisable to take a test the first thing in the morning, so I slept and took the test the next morning and sure enough, it was positive.

I didn’t know how to break the news but once I did it was very exciting news.

My first trimester was OK, just normal nausea and loss of appetite.

During that time the ‘Don’t rush‘ song was everywhere and to date, I don’t like that song as I associate it with my nausea.

I also had a bleeding incident and I had to call my doctor who prescribed me progesterone drugs which I took till the end of the first trimester to hold the baby.

I craved sweets and wheat products. I also loved medium-rare steak with salad.

I wanted a boy but I was not eager to take a scan but I finally did and I was so excited about finding out it was a boy.

My pregnancy was an easy one, I worked till the very last day.

Karen said she had wanted a specific delivery date but that never happened.

During my last scan, they found out my baby was breeched and suggested I do a CS on the 37th week.

I had prayed to God a lot and told him I wanted short labor so when they suggested a CS I knew it’s not what God and I had agreed.

So I googled on how to rectify a breech baby, I took up swimming and I also went for a prenatal massage and it encouraged the baby to turn.

The baby turned and I was so excited I cried. I did not want a CS.

I wanted to deliver on November 1st

for some reason so did the baby daddy.

My first EDD was around that time but it delayed and he came three days later.'

Karen's son with Sammidoh is now a few months old.
