Wema Sepetu has won the Best Actress in a TV series at The Hollywood and African Prestigious Awards (HAPA Awards) in her role as 'Desire' in the series 'Karma'

The awards are meant to honour outstanding talents across different genre. Announcing the news, Sepetu wrote;

Accepting the award, she said;

"I felt very lucky and blessed to have had the chance to be recognised in this category"

"Now that I am the winner, I must say that God is great."

Sepetu dedicated the award to her directors, cast members, her mum and her late dad. Sepetu is an actress and a former beauty queen having won the Miss Tanzania 2006.
